'Unfortunately, it was decided to close our club because of Foot and Mouth desease in Lancashire. We have been very fortunate to be welcomed at other clubs in the nearby area. In particular we would very much like to thank The Lakes Gliding Club, Denbigh Gliding Club and Dishforth for offering us their facilites.

It is to be hoped that we have better news to report in the next issue'.
